The patterns that Towne creates are in response to his environment: "I magnify patterns and allow myself entrance into a world that typically goes unseen. I am interested in the macro-perspective, the subtraction of the tiniest bits of data blown up to life size proportions. By capturing these "small moments", I am coming to terms with clarity through chaos and finding order in the randomness I have created.

I have great respect for the intricacies of time and change. My pursuit of time based work has enlightened me to come to a greater understanding of the make up of my surroundings and of myself."
